Mind body therapy recognises that our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and attitudes can affect our biological functioning. Just as what we eat, our posture, the way we move, even our relationships with other people and the environment can impact our mental state.
This is to say that every aspect of our life is in connection with one another. The intention of MindBody Therapy is to support the processes of healing and transformation while working with every aspect of an individual- psychologically, psychically, spiritually, energetically, socially, and environmentally.
In MindBody Therapy a practitioner recognizes the interwoven connection between these aspects of an individual and works in an integrative capacity to enhance vitality and well-being.
Who is Mind Body Therapy For?
Mind body therapy is for anyone who is wanting to build a deeper connection with themselves and a deeper awareness of how their mind, body and soul interacts whilst parts of the self. This can be especially good for anyone who experiences chronic pain, chronic physical or mental illness, highly sensitive people and empaths, anyone who feels their emotions deeply in their body, people who have experienced trauma or just anyone who is curious about discovering more about themselves or have a bit of time for themselves as a self-care practice. It can help with burnout prevention and slowing down.
What happens in a Embodied Emotional Energy Release Session?
It is difficult to say as MindBody therapy takes such a holistic and person centered approach. It can involve a number of things including, but not limited to body scans, meditation, breathwork, movement, touch and massage. A safe space is held by Stephie Be and a client is never made to do anything they are uncomfortable with. The client chooses what they want to explore and how.
A one off session is 50minutes and can be done face to face or via zoom. A one off session is beneficial and therapeutic but for a deeper process I would recommend a minimum of six sessions.
